Faggs Manor Presbyterian Church

Faggs Manor Church

Located on Street Road (Route 926) at its intersection with Faggs Manor Road in Londonderry Township, the church was founded in 1730. It was rebuilt between the years of 1742 and 1775 and again in 1845. It was remodeled again in 1921.

An historical marker on the building, placed there by the Chester County Historical Society in 1911, reads, "Faggs Manor Classical School was established nearby in 1739. Rev. Samuel Blair was its first principal. Rev. Samuel Davies, President of the College of New Jersey, Rev. John McMillan, a leading founder of Jefferson College, and Rev. John Ross, a founder of Dickinson College, were pupils here."
