The Cochranville Creamery

The creamery was started by dairy farmers J. R. Watkins and Dr. R. L. McClellan near the intersection of Routes 41 and 10. Milk was purchased and turned into butter which was shipped to Baltimore and Philadelphia. The building burned twice, once in 1885 and again in 1923. It was rebuilt after both fires and later torn down to be replaced by a bank.
